The Annual Art Auction & Dinner
We are happy to report that the 18th Annual Art Auction and Dinner generated over $43,000 for Library services, materials, and programs! The Washington County Public Library and McIntosh Branch Library are the only locations in the county that offer free computer lab access with high-speed wireless internet in and around our facilities. Art auction funds give our public libraries the ability to offer such vital services to the public.
The money raised at this year's auction will be used to provide
- technology equipment and resources
- access to high-speed wireless internet and computers
- educational programs for children and adults
- books for all ages/interest
- audio materials for the visually impaired
- subscriptions to valuable research materials
- meeting & training space to organizations and businesses throughout the area
- matching grant funds which secure funding for programs and services that would otherwise be unavailable in our area such as early literacy stations, job readiness classes, science-based educational summer programs, and much more!
Washington County Public Library is more than just a place to find information. It is a Community Learning Center for this area and we are so grateful for your support! Thank you again for donating to the Art Auction and for helping the WCPL make a positive impact in the lives of those in our community and beyond!
The 19th Annual Art Auction and Dinner Fundraiser will be February 24th, 2012.
