Dear Friends,
As we celebrate 50 years of
public service across the county, the Washington County Public Library invites
you to participate in our Golden Anniversary Celebration, Saturday, September 9,
2006! For half a century the Washington County Public Library has provided
our area with enriching, entertaining educational opportunities. Our reading
programs, technology access, and literacy outreach efforts have branched into
every community in Washington
County and beyond, whether by the Main Library, our McIntosh Branch, or our
Bookmobile Library. We are so proud to celebrate our strong roots in education
and community service and hope to share in the fruits of our labors with you and
your families.
At the Library, we understand that we ask quite a bit from our local sponsors, but we are proud to say that those contributions are directly impacting the community in a positive, wide-reaching way through literacy materials and services. We are so grateful for the support that we receive from our community partners and we thank you for contributing to the success of our past programs! Now, we are asking for your help as we recognize the legacy of our founders and 50 years of service in Washington County. Our 50th Anniversary Celebration will be an opportunity for the citizens of Washington County to gather together at the library for free food and drinks, music, games, raffles, fireworks, and lots of family fun and we would love for your business or company to be represented during our festivities! Visitors will also be able to tour the Genevieve Southerland Art Exhibit and our Ciba Science Center's fall theme, "Astronomy - The Science of Space".
We have a new motto, a new logo, and a renewed spirit at the Washington County Public Library. We hope that you will choose to sponsor this milestone in the history of Washington County. There are many ways to help - monetary donations as well as donated goods would be greatly appreciated! You are also welcome to set up a tent to promote and provide information about your company's products and services.
Thank you again for supporting the Washington County Public Library ! Please bring your families to celebrate with us on September 9th from 3-8pm outside at the Library! We look forward to working with you to make our next half-century together a time of continued growth and education in Washington County!
